What they do
Big Issue eBikes has deployed a fleet of electric bikes in Bristol and recruited people who were previously unemployed to maintain and monitor the bikes. The employees are paid the living wage and have access to services and support to improve their lives.
What we did
Our loan allowed for the initial purchase of 500 electric bikes for Bristol which greatly improved the transport options and environmental impact in the city, and provided employment for some of the most vulnerable members of the community.
